The Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions Presented by Insurance Office of America will be held Jan. 17-20, 2019 on Tranquilo Golf Course at Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando

DEC. 6, 2018 (ORLANDO, Fla.) – Diamond Resorts™, a global leader in the hospitality, vacation ownership and entertainment industries, is providing military members, veterans and first responders with two complimentary four-day general admission grounds passes to its inaugural Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions™ Presented by Insurance Office of America.

The tournament will be the LPGA Tour’s new 2019 season opener, held Jan. 17-20, 2019 on Tranquilo Golf Course at Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando, and feature LPGA winners from the 2017 and 2018 seasons competing alongside a roster of celebrity golfers.

Military members, veterans and first responders, including active and retired police, fire and emergency medical technician personnel, can enter code “SALUTE2019” during checkout at DiamondLPGA.com to receive a ticket voucher, which will be exchanged for a badge upon entry. The general public can also purchase tickets at DiamondLPGA.com. Prices range from $30 for a single day grounds pass to $60 for a four-day grounds pass.

Parking and shuttle service is complimentary with every ticket and available at the Magic Kingdom Parking Area at Walt Disney World® Resort.

The LPGA champions will play 72 holes of stroke play, with no cut, for $1.2 million in official prize money, while the sports and entertainment celebrities compete for their own $500,000 prize purse using a modified Stableford format, which awards points as opposed to strokes.

All four days of the tournament will be televised live, with Thursday and Friday on Golf Channel, and Saturday and Sunday on NBC network.

In total, 36 LPGA players have qualified to compete in the tournament, including Ariya Jutanugarn, this year’s Race to the CME Globe Champion, Lexi Thompson, Inbee Park, Brittany Lincicome, Michelle Wie, Brooke Henderson, Minjee Lee, Sung Hyun Park, Jin Young Ko, Nelly Korda, Pernilla Lindberg, Nasa Hataoka and So Yeon Ryu.

Confirmed sports stars include Hall of Famers, All-Stars, MVPs and superstars from major sports, such as Marcus Allen, Jeremy Roenick, Mark Rypien, Brian Urlacher, John Smoltz, Ray Allen, Jon Lester, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, Mark Mulder, Jerry Rice, Mardy Fish, and former NASCAR champion Michael Waltrip. Actors and entertainers include Toby Keith, Alfonso Ribeiro, Jack Wagner, Lee Brice, Cole Swindell and Larry the Cable Guy.

Also scheduled to compete is retired U.S. Army Cpl. Chad Pfeifer, who is an Iraq War veteran, amputee and three-time champion of the Bush Institute Warrior Open. Pfeifer, who is a Diamond Resorts Celebrity ambassador, began golfing in 2007 during his rehabilitation and has since been pursuing his dream of becoming the first amputee to compete on the PGA Tour.

The tournament site, Tranquilo Golf Course at Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando, is unique to Central Florida for its varying elevation, abundant wildlife and protected wetlands. Originally built in 1992 and designed by Tom Fazio as Osprey Ridge, Fazio enhanced the Orlando golf course for its October 2014 launch as Tranquilo Golf Club. The course is a par 71 and plays to 6,901 yards.

City Place, located two blocks north of the famous Gateway Arch, will be the first vacation ownership property in St. Louis

OCT. 22, 2018 (LAS VEGAS, Nev.) – Diamond Resorts^®, a global leader in the hospitality, vacation ownership and entertainment industries, announced today it has entered into an agreement with Inner Circle Investments to acquire six floors of City Place, an existing hotel that will be repositioned as luxury apartments, hotel rooms and vacation ownership units in St. Louis, Missouri. The repositioning of the property is expected to be complete in early to mid-2020.

Located across from the famous Gateway Arch, City Place is in a premier location within blocks of the city’s most notable attractions, including museums, riverboat cruises and the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Diamond’s six floors will be repositioned into studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units and feature separate front desk and VIP areas designated exclusively for Diamond’s members, owners and guests.

New for 2019, the tournament will be one of the most electrifying events on the LPGA Tour, bringing together some of the world’s top women golfers to play side-by-side with a roster of world-class celebrities.

Only LPGA professionals who won an official tour event in 2017 or 2018 qualify to play in the tournament, so the competition will be tough and the weekend filled with on-the-course action. The professionals will play 72 holes of stroke play with no cut for $1.2 million in official prize money, and compete alongside a roster of sports and entertainment celebrities, who will be competing for their own $500,000 purse utilizing a Modified Stableford format.

Several ticket packages are available for purchase, ranging from $12 for a single day presale pass to $400 for a four-day suite pass, which includes complimentary food and drinks in a suite overlooking the green on Hole 17.

To date, 35 LPGA professionals have qualified to play in the inaugural event, including Brittany Lincicome, Brooke Henderson, In-Kyung Kim, Michelle Wie, Shanshan Feng, Inbee Park and Sung Hyun Park. Solomon brings more than 15 years of senior marketing and operations experience to the global hospitality company

OCT. 9, 2018 (LAS VEGAS, Nev.) – Diamond Resorts^®, a global leader in the hospitality, vacation ownership and entertainment industries, announced today that Jeffrey Solomon has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer to oversee global growth initiatives.

Solomon has extensive experience leading marketing and operational teams to success at premiere hotel and gaming properties. He most recently held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Affinity Gaming, Inc., where he helped drive operations at 11 casinos in seven markets and delivered double-digit property level EBITDA growth. Under his leadership, the company also set an all-time EBITDA record and increased guest service scores and labor efficiency.

Prior to that role, Solomon held various positions within Caesars Entertainment Corporation and Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., including serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy/Regional CMO and Vice President & General Manager of Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Solomon holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in history from Dartmouth College.

Mikolaichik brings more than 25 years of global financial and strategic planning experience to the leading vacation ownership company

Having most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hilton Grand Vacations, Mikolaichik has extensive experience in all aspects of financial business strategy, including financial planning, budgeting, financial services, sales and marketing management, resort operations, corporate HOA accounting and corporate development. In his previous role, Mikolaichik led all finance-related matters in the successful tax-free spin of Hilton Grand Vacations. He also led the acquisition of Elara in Las Vegas.

Prior to that role, Mikolaichik served as Chief Financial Officer of Manning & Napier, Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of strategic and financial planning. He has also held positions with Old Mutual Asset Management and Deloitte.

The country music hit-maker will perform private shows for Diamond Resorts members as part of the Diamond Live concert series

AUG. 2, 2018 (LAS VEGAS, Nev.) – Diamond Resorts^®, a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industries, is excited to announce country music singer and songwriter Easton Corbin as the company’s newest Diamond Celebrity ambassador.

The Florida native has multiple hit singles, awards and nominations, and has performed on some of the biggest stages in the world. But Diamond Resorts members will have exclusive opportunities this year to enjoy intimate, private shows with Corbin and only a few hundred of their fellow members and guests.

Corbin is slated to perform several concerts this year at select Diamond Resorts destinations across North America. His first show is scheduled for Aug. 20 at Oceanaire Resort in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Members will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Corbin, before enjoying a private, acoustic-style performance.

The 2018 Diamond Live schedule is expected to be filled with more than 100 live events, including concerts with Diamond’s celebrity ambassadors, culinary events and comedy shows. As a Diamond Celebrity, Corbin will represent the company along with a roster of fellow country music stars, including Cole Swindell, Lee Brice, Dan + Shay, Lauren Alaina, Lee Ann Womack, Colt Ford and Jana Kramer. Diamond Resorts also has sponsorship agreements with sports stars, including LPGA professional Brittany Lincicome, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Bud Norris, NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip and MLB Hall of Famers Reggie Jackson and Gaylord Perry.

The exclusive show was the country duo’s first since signing on as Diamond Celebrity ambassadors

JULY 19, 2018 (LAS VEGAS, Nev.) – Diamond Resorts^®, a global leader in the hospitality, vacation ownership and entertainment industries, provided members an exclusive opportunity to enjoy a private concert by country music stars Dan + Shay on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida.

The award-winning, platinum-selling duo, who have four No. 1 singles at country radio, including their latest multi-week No. 1 “Tequila,” joined Diamond Resorts as celebrity ambassadors in May 2018. The duo’s brand-new self-titled third album, which recently made its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, is now available.

The first concert in the Diamond Resorts partnership was a hit with more than 250 members in attendance. The duo performed all of their hits, including “How Not To,” “From the Ground Up,” and “19 You + Me.” They closed out the night with a standing ovation-worthy performance of “Tequila.”

“It’s a small venue, it’s personal,” Diamond Resorts member Deborah Lefort said after the show. Lefort, who attended with her husband and family – all Dan + Shay fans – said it was their first time attending a Diamond Live concert and they loved getting to enjoy the intimate performance as a family. “They were very cordial, they were friendly, they were great to the whole audience. It was wonderful.”

Dan + Shay are scheduled to perform several additional shows this year and at many of them, Diamond Resorts members will have an opportunity to meet and take photos with the stars. Attending members will also be treated to heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks, before the private performance.

The rising country star made her debut performance as a Diamond Celebrity ambassador on Monday in Virginia Beach, Virginia

JULY 10, 2018 (LAS VEGAS, Nev.) – Diamond Resorts^®, a global leader in the hospitality, vacation ownership and entertainment industries, treated members to an exclusive event on Monday, July 9, 2018, with country music singer and songwriter Lauren Alaina, who took the stage for the first time as a Diamond Celebrity ambassador. Alaina, who joined Diamond in May 2018, performed the private concert at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Virginia as part of the Diamond Live concert series.

Singing hits from her albums Wildflower and Road Less Traveled, Alaina was “Doin’ Fine” in her new role for Diamond Resorts, meeting and taking photos with members before her performance.

“My band and I had a blast at Diamond Resorts in Virginia Beach,” Alaina said after the show. “I love being a part of all the family memories being made there.”

Since being named runner-up of American Idol season 10, Alaina has had numerous country music hits and her sophomore album, Road Less Traveled, touched several “Best Of” lists. She won a CMT Music Award in 2017 for Breakthrough Video of the Year and was recently named Academy of Country Music’s 2018 New Female Vocalist of the Year.

Currently performing with Jason Aldean on his High Noon Neon Tour, Alaina is scheduled to perform several more intimate shows exclusively for Diamond Resorts members and invited guests this year.
